My name is Michael Yost.
I am running to be the next statewide Secretary for MAPE.
I hope I can count on your support.
I have been part of the labor movement for over a decade. I currently serve as a local Secretary, Contract Action Team leader (LCAT), steward, and Delegate in local 401.
I am running for statewide Secretary because I want to see MAPE realize its potential as a fighting, strike-ready union, where every member has a voice.
I work as a research analyst on corporate tax policy in the Tax Research division at the Minnesota Department of Revenue. I tell politicians how laws will impact the state budget.
I spent my childhood in Mexico, but grew up in Oklahoma. I moved to Florida for grad school. While there, I helped lead a union chapter representing 3,000 graduate workers.
I am now proud to call Minnesota home. I live in Fridley with my wife, Amy. We own a house together and we have three dogs.
